2009 Small Forward Rankings

Yesterday we listed the top shooting guards in the class of ’09. Here’s our list of who’s who among small forwards in the 2009 class.

1. Jordan Hamilton: Los Angeles (CA) Dominguez - Undecided
Hamilton is a point forward who is a menace on the break. A very versatile player, Jordan gets it done in a plethora of ways.

2. Royce White: Hopkins (MN) Hopkins - Committed to Minnesota
White is one of those rare players who mixes superior talent with hustling. The Minnesota bound forward also finishes around the basket with ease.

3. Terrence Boyd: Norman (OK) Norman - Undecided
Athletic wing who is a problem in the open floor.

4. Solomon Hill: Los Angeles (CA) Fairfax - Undecided
The Fairfax wing man is being heavily recruited by schools like Boston College and Oregon.

5. Marshawn Powell: Crozet (VA) The Miller School -Committed to Arkansas
What Powell lacks in size he makes up in pure heart. Powell doesn’t take plays off and is highly efficient around the basket.

6. Hollis Thompson: Los Angeles (CA) Loyola - Committed to Georgetown
The Georgetown bound wing will be a terror on the defensive end due to his length and athleticsm.

7. Christian Watford: Birmingham (AL) Shades Valley - Undecided
Watford is a threat from deep. He has good range on his shot and a decent release.

8. Ferrakohn Hall: Memphis (TN) White Station - Undecided
Tremendous upside due to his ability to be able to play the 3 and the 4.

9. Shawn Williams: Duncanville (TX) - Undecided
Good all around player. Texas, Baylor, and Oklahoma are on his radar.

10. Jamil Wilson: Racine (WI) Horlick - Undecided
Wilson finishes above the rim with ease, the athletic swingman handles the ball well in the post and is a good rebounder

    Shawn Williams is nice. He can shoot it. I see him playing for Texas next year and lighting it up.

    All I know about Christian Watford is I read about him getting crammed on by Lance Stephenson in Dime last year.
