Is Brandon Jennings’ Eligibility in Question?

That’s the last headline that Arizona fans want to read after the recent news about Emmanuel Negedu and Abdul Gaddy. But the sensational southpaw Brandon Jennings still hasn’t been cleared to play for the Wildcats next season because of standardized test scores.

From The Bleacher Report

On his first try, Jennings did not meet the necessary score to become eligible—but since, has retaken the test and scored the necessary grade needed to become a college player.

The only problem—the NCAA is making him take the test again—to legitimize his score. Jennings will have two more times to legitimize his score, but with the fickle nature of standardized testing, it may be tough for him to score high enough once more.

If he can’t elevate his test scores, Jennings would have to play at a junior college for a season, after which he would undoubtedly defect directly to the League. That’s the none-and-done rule.

Way to go Lute! You freaked out 18 months ago and you’ve managed to turn 25 years of success into a pigs ear in the space of a 60 days. You first fire Oneil (which was the only wise choice) but then you unceremoniously fire Miles Simon and let Josh Pastner go to Memphis even though it isn’t a promotion. And then you lose two of the three biggest recruits and the only one left may or may not even get into UofA.

Wow! It would take FEMA to make this worse. Don’t see any reason for Budinger to come back just to be part of the chaos. And who else of the 4 and 5 star players for 09 are close to committing? Hopefully, there is some stud in Spain like Pau Gasol who would like to visit the desert and play ball that nobody else knows about.
