In the championship game at the Chosen League in Philadelphia, PA, team OJ Mayo put a halt to Dime Magazine’s improbable run to the league championship. Second-seeded OJ Mayo defeated eight-seeded Dime Magazine by a score of 99-78. OJ Mayo featured a high D1 back court duo of Villanova bound Maalik Wayns and Wake Forest recruit Tony Chenault. Ferg Myrick of Prep Charter HS, led Dime Magazine with a game-high 28 points and 13 rebounds, but it wasn’t nearly enough as LaSalle University bound Devon White scored 24 points and Wayns added 18 for OJ Mayo. OJ Mayo had a loaded team, boasting seven division one players, the most by any one team in Chosen league history.

The contest was tight until the 14 minute mark of the first-half with the score 16-12 advantage Dime Magazine. OJ Mayo used a full-court press to blow the game open and led by as many as 35 points as they took a 57-22 lead into the half.

In the second-half the talent of OJ Mayo took over and they cruised to an easy victory over the undermanned Dime Magazine squad.
