Arizona Head Coach Lute Olson can breathe easy again. Abdul Gaddy of Bellarmine Prep (WA), the number two ranked point guard in the class of 2009, has re-committed to the Wildcats. Gaddy initially committed to the Wildcats last summer, but then de-committed after Olson took a leave of absence from his head coaching post.
“When I first de-committed I was really unsure about the stability of the staff,” Gaddy told Scout.com. “I didn’t know them so I de-committed to see if there was anything better out there. Then, Arizona came out me hard with all the guys and I became comfortable with the staff. I was also very comfortable with the UCLA coaching staff; it was really close.”
Gaddy chose Arizona over UCLA after recently visiting both schools. He joins a solid Wildcat class that includes four star recruit Solomon Hill, a 6-6 small forward from Fairfax HS (CA).
