Arizona Could Sneak Into Lance Stephenson Sweepstakes
Words. Andrew Katz

Within the last couple of days, we’ve seen a monster turn-of-events in the Lance Stephenson sweepstakes. First, reports came out that he’s turned down both of his top suitors St. John’s and Maryland. On Sunday, it seemed like Memphis was going to make up for the loss of Xavier Henry with a commitment from Lance. But since then, Arizona has come in guns blazing after snaring fellow New Yorker Kevin Parrom.
A source with knowledge of Stephenson’s recruitment expects Arizona to make “a big-time push” for the McDonald’s All-American from Lincoln HS by reaching out to him and his family this week.
Lance’s connection to the UA program comes through Book Richardson, a former director of the New York Gauchos program, who helped to bring Parrom to the Wildcats. Since Richardson and former Xavier coach Sean Miller have signed on at UA, they’ve locked up three recruits – Solomon Hill, Kyryl Natyazhko, and Parrom.
If they lock up Lance, Arizona could skyrocket to being the class of the Pac-10.

Lance is overrated with a bad attitude! AZ would still be a good fit for him though.
