Memphis Could Land Latavious Williams And Lance Stephenson
Words. Aron Phillips
With Latavious Williams and Lance Stephenson as the last two top unsigned recruits this Spring, it looks like there is a chance that they could both end up at the same school: Memphis. After losing John Calipari to Kentucky, along with John Wall, DeMarcus Cousins, Eric Bledsoe and Darnell Dodson, this would be a huge win for new coach Josh Pastner.
“I’d say Memphis is the favorite,” Williams said by phone to Adam Zagoria. “More likely, it’s Memphis right now.” Not only is Williams high on the Tigers, but he says that he hopes Stephenson will join him at Memphis if he goes there – despite never having met him.
If the 6-8 blue-chipper of Humble Christian Life Center in Texas doesn’t end up at Memphis, four other schools remain on his list: Georgetown, Oklahoma, Kansas State and Florida International.
