Best High School Player in the Country Sneaks a Duke Visit
Words. Jason Jordan

If it’s true what Harrison Barnes says – that contrary to popular speculation he’s not favoring Duke – he’s surely not doing much to quiet the rumors.
After leaving the NBA Top 100 Camp in Charlottesville, Va., Sunday, Barnes, a 6-6 swingman from Ames, Iowa, made the trek down to Chapel Hill, N.C. to visit North Carolina. At the NBA Camp, Barnes, the top-rated prospect in the HighSchoolHoop top 50, told InsideCarolina.com that he planned to participate in the first two days of the Tar Heels camp and “go back to Ames.”
He went on to say that, “The focus of this trip is North Carolina.”
Well, right after leaving Chapel Hill Tuesday, Barnes and his family reportedly made a beeline for Durham. There he visited with Duke associate head coach Steve Wojciechowski, assistant Nate James and also hung out with a few players for a few hours.
Back in February, Barnes flew to Durham on his on dime to surprise the Duke staff before the Duke-North Carolina game.
Still not a Duke lean? (Insert the double wink maneuver here)
It should be noted that Kansas is also a major player for Barnes, but based on his actions and what we’re hearing Barnes is Duke’s to lose.

Woooooooo hoooooo!!! This is GREAT news!!! I was a little worried when I heard about the UNC visit but I feel a heck of a lot better now!!!
BARNES IS A GREAT PLAYER BUT I AS A UNC FAN DON,T NEED ONE AND DONE.
You must not follow recruiting much.
Barnes will not be a one and done player.
