James McAdoo Chooses UNC Over Florida, Kentucky, Texas
Words. Jason Jordan

Norfolk Christian (Va.) star junior James McAdoo, a 6-8 forward, picked North Carolina over Virginia, Texas, UCLA, Syracuse, Georgetown, Florida and Kentucky.
It’s been a foregone conclusion for some time that McAdoo’s commitment to the Tar Heels was imminent, despite what he told us in July.
“I just figured everybody knew that I was going there,” he said. “It feels good.”
McAdoo, who is rated the No. 13 prospect in the HighSchoolHoop top 50, committed this past weekend during an unofficial visit to North Carolina for its alumni game, which past greats like Michael Jordan attended.
McAdoo averaged 26 points and 13 rebounds last season and joins Dudley High (N.C.) guard P.J. Hairston to makeup the Tar Heels’ 2011 class thus far.
