Tarik Black ends his recruitment

Ridgeway High (Tenn.) forward Tarik Black ended his recruitment Monday night when he picked Memphis over Florida, Marquette and Alabama.
Black is the Tigers’ second commitment in as many days. Wheeler High (Ga.) guard Jelan Kendrick also committed to Memphis this past weekend.
That pair, along with what the Tigers already had coming in next season — point guards Joe Jackson (White Station, Tenn.) and Antonio Barton (Lake Clifton-Eastern, Md.), shooting guards Will Barton (Brewster Academy, N.H.) and Chris Crawford (Sheffield H.S., Tenn.) and center Hippolyte Tsafack (Miller School, Va.) — shows coach Josh Pastner won’t have as hard of a time replacing John Calipari as some experts predicted. Memphis isn’t going away anytime soon.
