Bullock beats Hairston in Dean Dome Showdown

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. — In one of the showcase high school games of the season in the Tar Heel State, Kinston H.S. senior guard Reggie Bullock scored 23 points and grabbed 15 rebounds to lead the Vikings past P.J. Hairston and Dudley High, 68-63, Saturday at the Dean Dome. Hairston, a junior guard, managed 24 points in the loss.
Hairston and Bullock, both committed to UNC, played in front of Roy Williams and the entire Carolina basketball team along with more than 500 fans.
We talked with both players prior to the game to get their thoughts on how things would turn out.
“That’s gonna be fun because that’s my boy,” said Hairston of Bullock. “I’m not gonna guarantee a win or anything. I’m sure we’ll be talking back and forth all throughout the game… But I think we’ll win it.”
Bullock, of course, had a different take.
“Oh no, we can’t lose to our rivals,” he says. “And I can’t lose my last year. I’m 3-0 against Dudley and 2-0 against P.J.”
Looks like it’s 4-0 and 3-0 now.

THATS THE 1 BIG THING UNC LACKS AS OF NOW, ADD IN THE STUD BARNES WHO IS IS AS VERSITILE AS THEY GET ON BOTH ENDS OF THE COURT.
NOT ONLY WILL THEY IMPROVE UNC’S OFFENSE, THEY WILL IMPROVE UNC’S DEFENSE AT 6’6(PJ), 6’7(RB) AND 6’8(HB), AND THEY’RE STILL GROWING.
