Austin ends recruitment

Grace Preparatory Academy (Arlington, Texas) center Isaiah Austin ended his recruitment this week, announcing live on CBS College Sports Network just before the adidas Nations title game that he is indeed headed to Baylor.
“I took my time and talked it over with my parents and we came to the conclusion that I’m gonna commit to Baylor,” said Austin. “I wanted my mom to be able to watch me play and as long as she’s there I’m happy. My family is everything to me.”
Austin, a 7-foot rising junior, also considered Texas, Houston, Oklahoma State and Arizona. He is the Bears’ first commitment from the 2012 class.
