Zeller picks Indiana
Words. Jason Jordan
In the end, Washington (IN) High School forward Cody Zeller “just knew it was right” when he gave his verbal commitment to Indiana over Butler and North Carolina.
Zeller, a senior who is ranked No. 38 in the HSH National Top 50, told the Indianapolis Star that he wasn’t sure about his decision until “about a week ago.”
There were small rumblings that Zeller would join his older brother Tyler Zeller at North Carolina, but from the beginning we maintained that Zeller would end up being a Hoosier.
“The biggest thing was the players and the coaches,” Zeller said during the announcement. “They had a good combination of the two.”
Zeller joins Hamilton Heights High (Arcadia, IN) forward Austin Etherington to form Indiana’s 2011 class thus far.

Hoosiers! Good pickup over UNC. Cody Zeller could be really good playing ball for Indiana.
Stupid pick; are you serious? Who would pick Indiana over UNC and playing with your brother. UNC is on track to win another championship in a year. Indiana better hope they are good enough to make a decent run in the tournament in a year.
You sound mad. Mad and bitter… a running theme for UNC Chapel Hill fans who believe they’re the only sports tradition in the USA. wow… Each of the Zeller made their own commitment about where they decided to NCAA college ball.
I understand calling people out about deciding to transfer out of UNC when the team is obviously rebuilding into a competitive team but dissing a high school student because of where he decides to go to college… desperate and mad. LMAO.
