Danny Hurley and Wagner Add Michigan’s Mr. Basketball
Words. High School Hoop

Danny Hurley is heading into just his second season at tiny Wagner College on Staten Island, N.Y., but he has already set the program on the path to big things. This past week, Danny landed a commitment from 2011 Michigan Mr. Basketball Award winner Dwaun Anderson.
How big of an achievement is this for Danny, Bobby (Danny’s assistant coach), and the Wagner program in general? Put it this way: one media source called Anderson’s commitment “the most high-exposure recruit of Hurley’s tenure, and probably the most sought-after American player ever landed by Wagner or any Northeast Conference member-school.”
So how good is Dwaun?
In his final season of high school ball at Suttons Bay High School in Central Michigan, Anderson averaged 20 points, 10 boards and almost five assists per game. Watch the video below – the kid is a truck:
Anderson had previously enrolled at Michigan State, but withdrew and now plans on taking classes at Wagner starting January. He will reportedly then be officially on scholarship come September 2012.
