Nerlens Noel Will Remain in High School

Nerlens Noel
At the recent HoopHall Classic in Springfield, Mass., prized Tilton School (N.H.) 6-10 shot-blocking monster Nerlens Noel told media members that he’s going to remain in the Class of 2013 instead of reclassifying to enroll in college after the season.
He told FiveStarbasketball.com:
“It was a possibility but I’ve been coming to the decision that… I’ll be staying 2013. I’m just staying to get stronger. I think it’s going to be a good summer, a good school year. I tried to stay stress-free, just really focused on working hard academically, in the weight room and on the court and just leaving that recruiting stuff for when I got free time.
“I just can’t let it interfere with my main goal is just to get better.”
Noel is considered a likely NBA Lottery lock – Adam Zagoria calls him “the best American shot-blocker not in the NBA (including Anthony Davis).
Kentucky, Syracuse and UConn (among others) are all all-in on Noel, and will keep him as a priority on their target lists.

It’s a shame when kids have to make announcements that they are staying in HIGH SCHOOL! Seriously that’s a little sickening. Let the kid be a kid.
