Duke Lands Powerhouse Forward Semi Ojeleye
Words. Patrick Cassidy

Coach K does it again. After last week’s Jabari Bird announcement highlight how important it is for local programs to win the battle for homegrown talent, Duke has swooped in to nab 6-7 Class of 2013 Ottawa (Kansas) forward Semi Ojeleye from the clutches of midwest schools like Missouri, Indiana, and Wisconsin, as well as programs like UCLA and Stanford.
So how did Coach K do it?
Apparently all it took was a home visit from Krzyzewski over the weekend to officially win over Ojeleye.
He is going to be a problem of Duke opponents. Ojeleye is rangy, athletic and strong. Watch his highlight mix below – he is like a wrecking ball, getting to the rim at will. His stock has been rising rapidly as his jumpshot has quickly improved. He’s a great get for the Blue Devils.

Wow! Great pickup for Duke. Alex Murphy is going to have to work hard to keep up minutes as a starter with this guy signing up to play for Duke. Semi Ojeleye plays like this now, lets see how his game develops with Coach K, Capel, James, Collins, etc.
