This is savage. Check out this video from a high school game in Georgia last week. Columbia High (Decatur) was playing Druid Hills, and when a Columbia shot went up, Jhaustin Thomas and Chris Horton attacked the offensive glass – and the backboard paid the ultimate price.
These aren’t two everyday high school athletes hitting the boards. Thomas is a 6-6 football star, and is arguably the best defensive football player in the entire state. He is committed to play football for Steve Spurrier at South Carolina. Horton is 6-8 and is headed to Austin Peay to play ball. Now, what happens to the backboard makes a little more sense: MORE >

Mississippi State has struck again for the Class of 2012. Paul Jones of BulldogBlitz.com reports that Fred Thomas, a 6-5 shooting guard from Jim Hill High School (Jackson, Miss.), has officially committed to Coach Rick Stansbury and the Bulldogs. Although the signing was expected considering MSU was always the frontrunner, MSU fans can relax knowing that this is finally a done deal. MORE >

Of the talented players participating in the World Basketball Tournament in Douai, France, which runs from June 8-15, Jason Morris just may be the most athletic.
Injuries plagued his season at Hotchkiss School in Lakeville, Conn., but after a strong showing at the King James Shooting Stars Classic in late April, which his New York Gauchos won, Morris, a rising senior, seems primed for a breakout summer season.
