We’re not so self-absorbed that we think our Top 10 list is gospel; let’s just say any argument that can be made to tweak this list can be countered masterfully.

Obviously, it’s tough to pick just 10 point guards over the course of a decade, but we decided the criteria would be based solely on what each player did at the high school level. We don’t care about college busts, NBA accolades, or catchy dances — it’s all about what a player did in high school and how dominant he was doing it. In the end, the lure to have the ball in his hands from Day One at one of college basketball’s most storied programs was too much to turn down, as St. Patrick High (N.J.) point guard Kyrie Irving picked Duke today over Kentucky and Texas A&M live on ESPNU.

“I’ll be a Blue Devil next year,” Irving told ESPNU. “It was just my relationship with him (Coach Mike Krzyzewski) and the whole coaching staff. I have a great relationship with everybody. When I went on my official visit it felt like home. It’s the place for me.” MORE >
