Washington (IN) High school forward Cody Zeller will announce his college choice Thursday at 1 p.m.
Zeller, a senior who is ranked No. 38 in the HSH National Top 50, will pick between Indiana, Butler and North Carolina. Zeller and his family have kept things very quiet to this point, but there are some rumblings about Zeller staying home to play for the Hoosiers. MORE >

Xavier had a productive week, securing commitments from two of the country’s top players at their respective positions. Lawrence North (Indianapolis, Ind.) center Mike Chandler, a senior, and North Central (Indianapolis) combo guard D’Vauntes Smith-Rivera, a junior, both committed to the Musketeers.
“I just really felt like this would be the best place for me get better as a person and a player,” Chandler told the Indianapolis Star. “It helps that it’s close to home.” MORE >

Indiana and coach Tom Crean recently got a big assurance that the long-term direction of its program is on the right path. The Hoosiers landed two commitments from two of the top players not only in the state, but in the country, from the Class of 2014.
Arsenal Tech High (Indianapolis, IN) freshman forward Trey Lyles and Bishop Luers (Fort Wayne, IN) freshman guard James Blackmon Jr. both verbally committed to the Hoosiers this month. MORE >

Pike High (Ind.) star guard Marquis Teague said that he “wasn’t moved at all” by Bobby Knight’s comments about Kentucky head coach John Calipari during a fundraiser for the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame last week.
Teague, a Top-10 player in the Class of 2011, is UK’s top target in recruiting as they look for John Wall‘s eventual replacement. MORE >

Barnes, HighSchoolHoop’s top prospect, will announce his decision live on ESPNU at 4 p.m. EST. “Everybody’s making a big deal about me announcing on Friday the 13th,” said Barnes. “It’s crazy to me… I don’t get into all of that spooky stuff.” MORE >
