Reports hit yesterday that the 6-4 star guard had crossed the ‘Cuse off of his list of schools because of the allegations of molestation against Syracuse assistant Bernie Fine, but now the reports of Whitehead’s decision are being refuted by his Lincoln coach, Dwayne Morton.

Twenty-seven members of the 2011-12 USA Basketball Men’s Developmental National Team are confirmed to participate in a mini-camp that will be held Oct. 15 and 16 at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colo.

On the heels of a gold medal at the 2011 FIBA Americas U16 Championship, the USA will utilize four practice sessions to prepare to defend its inaugural gold at the 2012 FIBA U17 World Championship, which will be played June 29 – July 8 in Lithuania. MORE >

This past weekend, more than 50 of country’s best high school basketball players honed their skills and put their commitment to training on full display at the first annual Under Armour Grind Session in Chicago. During the two-day event, the players participated in Under Armour’s advanced basketball skills development curriculum with a focus on ball-handling and body control in the morning. Twenty-four of the nation’s top 16-and-under basketball standouts, including 18 who participated in the Oct. 2010 USA Developmental National Team mini-camp, have been named to the 2011-12 USA Basketball Men’s Developmental National Team, USA Basketball today announced. The 2011 USA U16 National Team and 2012 USA U17 World Championship Team, should the U.S. qualify for the U17 Worlds, will be comprised of USA Developmental National Team members.
