I told you yesterday that the McDonald’s All American Game Selection Show was happening tonight, as the top 24 high school basketball seniors in the country would be selected to play in the prestigious 2010 Games set to tip off in Columbus, Ohio on March 31. Newbill, Girard College Guards Torrell Candelaria and University of Pittsburgh recruit, John Johnson; Friends’ Central Forward Amile Jefferson (Top 10 Nationally ranked Sophomore) and Guard Devin Coleman; Harrisburg’s Bryan Taylor; North Catholic Guard Mike Terry; and Phelp’s Damien Williams, Tyree Harris, and Jahmad Saleem. The best high school basketball programs from across the United States and Canada will descend on New York City for the first annual New Heights Holiday Hoop Festival on Dec. 18-19.
Teams from Illinois, Canada, Connecticut, Massachusetts, DC, Pennsylvania and New Jersey will square off in this unique eight-team holiday tournament to be held at the famed Rose Hill Gymnasium at Fordham University.
