We’ve been following Perry Ellis for a minute. In fact, on the cover of Dime #49, we introduced him as the No. 1 pick in the 2013 NBA Draft. If you’ve been on the circuit at all this summer, you’ve definitely heard the name Matt Jones. The deadly shooter from DeSoto High School in Texas is playing with the Texas Titans this summer, and is in a class of his own when shooting from beyond the arc. The 6-4 shooting guard brings it at every event, including the LeBron James Skills Academy where he rained on the best players in the nation, and the Nike Peach Jam where he knocked down 17 triples in five games. Right now, the rising junior has offers from Baylor, Texas, Texas A&M, Houston and most recently Duke, and plans to take unofficial visits this fall to Kansas and Florida in addition to the Durham, Waco and Austin. After much speculation, one of the top recruits in the Class of 2011, DeAndre Daniels, has finally made his decision – he’ll be a Huskie.

Originally from Woodland Hills, Calif., the 6-8, 200-pound forward from IMG Basketball Academy committed to UConn today after being heavily recruited by the likes of Texas, Kansas, Duke, Florida, Tennessee and Oklahoma State. MORE >

He’s only recently started playing the game, but IMG Basketball Academy’s Jamari Traylor has quickly shot up the list of top basketball recruits. Now, he’ll continue his rapid development with the Kansas Jayhawks after committing to the school on Wednesday.

Menomonee Falls (Wis.) swingman J.P. Tokoto will pick between his final eight schools on Thursday at Dave & Buster’s, according to his mother Laurence Trimble.

Tokoto, a junior, cut his list on Valentine’s Day and will pick between Connecticut, Marquette, Kansas, Kentucky, Maryland, North Carolina, UCLA and Wisconsin. MORE >

Menomonee Falls (WI) junior swingman J.P. Tokoto is closing in on a decision and has cut his list of schools down to just eight, according to his mother Laurence Trimble.

Tokoto trimmed his list on Valentine’s Day. Connecticut, Marquette, Kansas, Kentucky, Maryland, North Carolina, UCLA and Wisconsin are all still in the running. Trimble said that J.P. plans to make a decision after his high school season concludes. MORE >
