Shabazz Muhammad was the breakout high school star of the summer. The 6-5 wing from Las Vegas was already rising through the rankings before he averaged 32 points per game on the AAU circuit, but now his name is one of the hottest on the prep scene.

Houston’s L.J. Rose Is On The Move

L.J. Rose won’t be playing at Second Baptist School (Houston, Tex.) next season. He’ll be across town at Westbury Christian School (Houston, Tex.).

“I just wanted to make a change,” said Rose, who is ranked No. 32 in the HSH National Top 50.

Rose led Second Baptist this season averaging 20 points and 10 assists per game. He’s the son of Lynden Rose, who played alongside Hakeem Olajuwon and Clyde Drexler on Houston’s Phi Slama Jama teams of the early 1980s. MORE >

Houston guard Sulaimon picks Duke

Duke just picked up their second top recruit in a week when it was announced that Strake Jesuit (Houston, TX) combo guard Rasheed Sulaimon would join their Class of 2012 haul. The 6-2 junior picked Duke over Arizona, Wake Forest, Texas, Baylor, Stanford and Georgetown among others.

“He can be a prolific scorer at times and can get a shot off on anyone. I’ve never seen anybody block his shot,” Sulaimon’s trainer and advisor Marland Lowe said. MORE >
