Australia’s Top HS Player to Enroll at U.S. HS Power Program

Florida’s Montverde Academy has evolved into a national power on the high school scene – a development that doesn’t seem to be changing any time soon. Yesterday, new broke that Ben Simmons, a 6-8 superstar player from Melbourne, Australia will be enrolling at the school where he will run with fellow five-star prospects Dakari Johnson, Kasey Hill and D’Angelo Russell.

How good is Simmons? He dominated the American competition at the adidas Nation and Pangos tournaments this summer, and is considered to be a top prospect in the class of 2015. NBADraft.net’s scouting report on the smooth lefty says that he has a “chance to be special.”

Academy destroyed the AAU circuit this summer, leading the Florida Rams to a championship at the adidas Invitational in Indianapolis.
