Kansas’ Buddy Hield Finds His Offer List Expanding

Buddy Hield was known around the college coaches of the Big 12 going into the July recruiting period, but it was questionable how serious big school programs were on the Class of 2012 guard from Bel Aire, Kan. That was until Hield began shining most recently at the Best Buy Classic in Chicago, where he’s playing more like his ESPN ranking (four stars, 21st best shooting guard) rather than the grade Scout gave him (two stars, not ranked).

Carter taking advantage of postgrad year

Elijah Carter figured that he’d have a better chance of going to a bigger college if he opted for the postgraduate route instead of heading to St. Bonaventure like he’d originally planned.

“I just felt like I could get more schools interested in me if I went postgrad,” said Carter, a point guard who played his senior year at St. Anthony (Jersey City, N.J.) High School. “It was like a second chance for me.” MORE >
