Bello challenges Dwight Howard to dunk-off

Deuce Bello

Words.

As the youngest person and only current high schooler to make Dime’s ranking of the Top 25 dunkers in the world last month, Deuce Bello is high school’s resident standard bearer for above-the-rim antics. The 6-4 wing took the dunk contest crown at the Boost Mobile Elite 24 over the summer, and the only way he won’t be the odds-on favorite to win the McDonald’s All-American dunk contest is if he doesn’t make the All-American roster.

On Sunday, Bello may have (jokingly) bit off more than he can chew, however. On his Twitter page (@deucebello) he posted: MORE >

Austin verbally committed to Baylor last month at the adidas Nations camp. He averaged 14 points, 9 rebounds and 7 blocks per game as a junior at Grace Prep. MORE >

Feeling Mabry over Smith

Great scoop on TaShawn Mabry (Rocky Mount High, N.C.). Do you think he will get a Duke offer soon? Also, what is going on with Roscoe Smith (Oak Hill Academy, Va.)? I actually like TaShawn a little better. - S. Crystal

Most people would call you loony for saying that you like TaShawn better than Roscoe, but most of those people just read and believe what they see on recruiting sites. MORE >

Perry Jones: Crazy Potential From Texas

Words.

This was the e-mail I got from my buddy today accompanied by this video of Perry Jones: “I am sure this kid is on your radar, but he looks ridiculously athletic.” Of course the 6-10 Baylor commit is on my radar, and if he’s not on yours, he will be after you watch this.
