Reports hit yesterday that the 6-4 star guard had crossed the ‘Cuse off of his list of schools because of the allegations of molestation against Syracuse assistant Bernie Fine, but now the reports of Whitehead’s decision are being refuted by his Lincoln coach, Dwayne Morton.

IMG Academy (FL) senior Phil Greene is the latest recruit from the Class of 2011 to give a verbal commitment to St. John’s. The 6-2 combo guard, who is a great playmaker with a high basketball IQ, chose the Red Storm over offers from Kansas, Arizona State, Notre Dame, Marquette and Penn State.
