Norfolk Christian (Va.) star junior James McAdoo, a 6-8 forward, picked North Carolina over Virginia, Texas, UCLA, Syracuse, Georgetown, Florida and Kentucky.
It’s been a foregone conclusion for some time that McAdoo’s commitment to the Tar Heels was imminent, despite what he told us in July.

When Norfolk Christian School (Va.) forward James McAdoo led the United States to a 101-87 win over host country Argentina in the gold-medal game of the FIBA Americas U-16 Championships, he got a glimpse of what he’d be in for once he chooses one of the big time schools that are courting him.
The arena, which seated 3,000, was standing room only, and the vicious crowd did everything it could to make it uncomfortable for Team USA.

Of the talented players participating in the World Basketball Tournament in Douai, France, which runs from June 8-15, Jason Morris just may be the most athletic.
Injuries plagued his season at Hotchkiss School in Lakeville, Conn., but after a strong showing at the King James Shooting Stars Classic in late April, which his New York Gauchos won, Morris, a rising senior, seems primed for a breakout summer season.
