In case you haven’t heard, Elijah Macon is one of the top prospects in Ohio for the Class of 2012. With his 6-8 frame, crazy agility and nice jumper, Elijah often looks like a man among boys on the hardwood.

The potential for the Marion-Franklin (OH) junior is through the roof and he’s definitely proving himself a force this year. Having already decommitted from West Virginia in hopes of exploring other options, he will undoubtedly have a myriad of college suitors knocking on his door in the near future. Make it three commitments for Ryan Boatright. After a weekend visit to UNLV failed to sway him, the Chicago-area point guard settled on UConn today — the third time he’s verbally committed. As an eighth-grader, Boatright pegged USC as his school. He eventually de-committed, and going into his senior year at East Aurora H.S., chose West Virginia. Last month Oak Ridge (N.C.) Military Academy forward Jacob Lawson told us that, even though he wanted to take a few visits, his dad wanted him to decide on a college after the AAU season concluded “to get it out of the way.”

Looks like dad won out.

Lawson committed to Purdue this week, picking the Boilermakers over Alabama, Colorado, North Carolina State, Wake Forest, Syracuse, Seton Hall, Miami, West Virginia, Clemson and Mississippi State. MORE >
