Reaaallll good.

T.C. Williams coach Ivan Thomas is 44-0 in the Virginia AAA Patriot District. He traveled to play Davis’ Benedictine team, and suffered a rare defeat, 69-61. After the game, Thomas horsed-around with Davis, putting the 6-9 senior into a headlock. Davis deserved it; he went off for a triple-double with 30 points, 22 boards, 10 blocks and 4 assists.

Before going into his final game against Blue Ridge, Davis scored his 2,102 point. He’s likely to be named a McDonald’s All-American when the selection show starts at 6:30 PM ET today on ESPNU. During that game against Blue Ridge, Davis ended his career fittingly. He grabbed a rebound off a missed 3-pointer from his teammate Andrey Semenov before being fouled. He then hit the game-clinching free throws to seal a 57-53 win.

“This is a game that we wanted to win because they embarrassed us last time,” Davis said. “We really wanted to come in here and win.”

Davis finished the game with 23 points, 10 boards, and 6 blocks. Some people might be impressed by his soft touch and left-handed jump hook, but truthfully his best asset is his shot blocking ability.

“He’s probably the best player in Virginia,” said Benedictine coach Sean McAloon. He’s the best shot blocker I’ve ever come across.”
