Looks like Dominique Ferguson may have made the right decision after all.

Eyebrows were raised when Ferguson, a 6-8 power forward from Lawrence North High in Indianapolis, de-committed from Kentucky following the coaching change. Since then he’s begun hearing from a host of equally big time programs. Florida, UCLA, Ohio State, Arizona, Wake Forest, Duke, Louisville, Indiana, and Texas have all beefed up their interest in Ferguson, who is rated No. 10 overall in the HighSchoolHoop top 50.

Dominique has already said that Indiana will get one of the many visits that he plans to take this month. Ohio State, Arizona, Texas, and UCLA are other possible stops on his tour.

Ferguson, who will play in the World Basketball Tournament in Douai, France, from June 8-15, visited Duke over Memorial Day weekend while playing in the Tournament of Champions.

Don’t count out John Calipari either.

Word is he’s made Ferguson priority No. 1 for the 2010 class.

That’s noteworthy because of Calipari’s system and Ferguson’s openness about wanting to play small forward in college.
