Big Things: Ribet Basketball’s 2012 Promo Videos

Ribet Academy is a Los Angeles-area high school that also happens to be a basketball powerhouse – the Fighting Frogs are currently in the midst of a playoff run and feature multiple, national high-profile players including 6-4 freshman PG Tyler Dorsey and 6-11 sophomore C Idrissa Diallo.
The school’s alumni also apparently have some legit video production skills. Check out these original videos produced by former Ribet student Sam Sulam that were made to promote the program and its ideals.
These clips go beyond just some cool basketball clips and images. We’ve been told that they went with dark images so you can’t really make out the players’ faces or numbers because Ribet wants to send the message that their program is not about individuals, it is about the team.
At the end of the second video, a visible player emerges dunking the ball to send the message that individual success was the result of the faceless team working together to get him the ball in a position to have success.
